JG Smart Systems was built for farms and rural businesses — but our controls engineering background means we're equally at home with industrial automation, process control, and commercial systems.

The Story

Why We Started

Farms are complicated environments. They have specialist electrical systems, control panels that most electricians won't touch, remote buildings with no broadband, and real consequences when things go wrong — financially and for animal welfare.

Yet most security and monitoring companies treat a farm like any other commercial site. They fit a standard CCTV package, don't understand the control systems, can't deal with the connectivity challenges, and disappear once the invoice is paid. The same gap exists in industrial settings — businesses with ageing control panels, unreliable monitoring, and no one local who understands both the electrical and the automation side.

JG Smart Systems was set up to fill that gap. Based in Shropshire, we work primarily with farms and rural businesses, but our controls engineering background means we're equally capable with industrial automation, process control, and commercial systems. We bring a level of technical depth that generic installers simply can't match.
